Hooked on Freedom

Welcome to our organisation. Please feel free to contact us for information about the rambles.

Forth & Tay Disabled Ramblers is a charity run by disabled people for disabled people

Forth and Tay Disabled Ramblers is a user-led charity, established in August 2001. We are run by a Management Committee, the majority of whom are disabled people. Our membership is mainly based in the area bounded by the rivers Forth and Tay. The group hires an accessible mini bus, driven by a trained driver, to take members to venues that are outside Fife. If ramble is inside Fife members are expected to arrange own transport. Vans are rented to transport scooters to venue, these are driven by trained volunteers.Paths are checked and risk-assessed in advance to ensure access and safety. Our annual programme includes day rambles to country parks, forests, canal tow paths, seaside promenades, national heritage sites and gardens.
